Homemade Baby Food for Charly!

I was super mom for a very brief moment…. 🙂  Ok I am sooooo not super mom but I did make 2 big batches of pureed food for my monster!  She is eating 3-4 packets a day so making my own saves us money and of course is best for Charly.  I buy the organic store packets and use only when necessary.

1st Concoction: (Charly’s breakfast)
Apple, pear, nectarine, prunes, sweet potato, avocado, green beans, peas, broccoli & unrefined sea salt

2nd Concoction:
Salmon (smoked from Sunday’s leftovers), avocado, sweet potato, green beans, broccoli, peas & unrefined sea salt

Charly LOVES her homemade food!  It does take awhile & makes a few dishes but it’s soooo worth it!  In an hour and a half I made about 30 packets & froze them.

Sunday Prep Day!

Use Sundays to prep your food for your week to assure you eat clean!!! We smoked a whole chicken, salmon, chicken breasts, sweet potato wedges, broccoli, cauliflower & mushrooms. I also made a huge green salad, roasted an acorn squash & bought a bunch of avocados. This is also for our Sunday dinner but will make for amazing leftovers!

I bought Ben this smoker for his birthday / Father’s Day. We have found a new way to eat clean & we love the smoky flavor of everything!!!

Tip of the Day…

There is something to be said for being hungry at your meals…  It is SUPER important to give your digestive system a break in between meals.  This is why constant snacking is NOT good for your body as it creates inflammation by not giving your digestive system a break.  It is essential to get in 3 square meals per day but your snacks are ONLY if needed.  If you are NOT hungry at your next meal try skipping your last snack or snackS!  Challenge yourself to eat 3 meals ONLY with literally NO in between “picking”.  You will not only lower the inflammation in your body you will also lose weight.
