You don’t have to have nitrate filled hot dogs & smores to have fun at a bonfire. Just get out your kettle pot, cut up some veggies, meat, spices, dash of balsamic vinegar, water & add a bit of coconut oil. Set on the fire & stir every 3-5 minutes. It is soooo yummy & clean! We also cooked some nitrate free chicken apple sausage and I made my 111 peanut butter cookies for dessert. (1 cup pb, 1 egg, 1 cup organic sugar. Roll into balls, press flat with fork & bake for 10 minutes at 350)
Ingredients:
2 organic chicken breasts
12-15 quartered brussels sprouts
2 chopped carrots
1 large onion
1 head broccoli
1.5 sweet potatoes, chopped
2 tbsps coconut oil
Big dash of balsamic vinegar
Spices (I used salt, garlic powder, onion powder, basil, parsley)
A little water
Dash of grapeseed oil on top
Put the coconut oil in the bottom of your kettle pot, add all chopped veggies, spices, vinegar & water. Chop the chicken breasts and put into a ziplock on ice. When you are ready to cook the meal throw the chicken on top, put your lid on and put on the fire. Stir every 5-7 minutes and towards the end stir every 3-5 minutes. It cooks very quickly!
ENJOY!
