Avocados = Green Energy

Avocados are a super fruit that have amazing nutrients, great flavor / texture and lots of “healthy” fat.  Remember…you need fat to burn fat – so eat up!

I use avocados in most of my recipes or I have a half sliced up at our dinner table.  Add them to your salads, sandwiches, smoothies, burgers, guacamole dip, dressings or just eat them by themselves.

Guacamole Dip w/ Cucumbers:
2 ripe avocados
1/2 tsp salt
1 clove garlic
1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
1/4 cup onion
1 medium tomato
Cucumbers (to dip in guacamole)

Put everything in your vita-mix (except tomato & cucumber).  Blend until creamy, chop tomato & add to dip.  Serve with fresh cucumbers for dipping.

Avo’s (1/5 medium)
*Contains monounsaturated fats (3g per serving) – helps to lower blood cholesterol if used in place of saturated fats
*Vitamin K, E, C, B6
*Folate
*Potassium
*Magnesium
*Lutein
*High in fiber

EVERYTHING in moderation…1/4 avo at a meal is perfect!
